A Message from Nanci Luna Jiménez
What's Yours to Heal?
We don’t have to live in an oppressive world, yet it seems almost impossible to imagine otherwise.
During this workshop, we'll go on a rare and unique journey to understand the baffling, upsetting, and outright harmful behaviors that people act out against each other. These behaviors, and the beliefs and attitudes that drive them, aren’t born from hatred or ignorance, but rather from the hurts each of us carry.
Adultism, an oppression most of us have never heard of, but one all of us experienced as young people, shaped patterns of disconnection, discouragement, apathy, insecurity, and violence that continue to grip us as adults.
In fact, adultism is the training ground for all other oppression. It teaches us how to falsely see the world, ourselves, and each other.
Each of us has a role to play in ending oppression by committing to our own healing, starting with adultism.
Ending oppression is completely possible.
MORE ABOUT NANCI
Mabrika!
I'm Nanci. When I was 26 years old I founded the Luna Jiménez Institute for Social Transformation. For the past 30 years, I have committed to my own healing so I can be an authentic companion and guide for individuals and groups to move out of shame and guilt and into connection on a shared journey to end oppression.
I listen. I see you. I’m here to remind you even when you can’t remember: you are good. I am not confused by how your hurts show up. While only you can do your healing, I’m committed to stay with you in the journey. When we break the isolation, we can more fully live into our purpose. When we heal, we can finally end oppression.
